Construction
Ultraflex type conductor is an ultra flexible cable made of soft and tough copper, with a separate piece of kraft paper or non absorbent material tape placed on top, insulated with a uniform layer of heat-resistant and moisture-proof material, and coated with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) protective cover. It comes in different colors, depending on its caliber and packaging form.
Application
Ultraflex type COBRES wires are used for strength and lighting circuits in industrial and commercial buildings, suitable for harsh weather conditions, or directly buried in facilities that require high flexibility starting from the 8th. It can be used in both dry and humid places, with a maximum operating temperature of 105 ° C and a maximum operating voltage of 1kV for all applications.
Specifications
ASTM B3: Annealed or soft copper wire.
ASTM B172: Copper outer flexible cable composed of a bundle of braided cables, used for conductors.
ASTM B174: Braided copper flexible cables for conductors.
IEC 60502-1: Extruded insulated power cables and their accessories with rated voltages ranging from 1 kV (Um=1.2 kV) to 30 kV (Um=36 kV). Part 1: Cables with a rated voltage of 1 kV (Um=1.2 kV) to 3 kV (Um=3.6 kV).
Except for all requirements of the National Electrical Code.
